ā¦ā¦the face behind The Flower Desk!
Before floristry, I spent over 20 years working in web design, CRM systems, desktop publishing and financeā¦ā¦very much in the world of structure, systems and behind-the-scenes detail.
But I reached a point where I wanted something much more hands-on and creative.
Floristry became that next chapter, and very quickly, something I genuinely loved.
Since then, Iāve worked across retail and wedding floristry, and Iāve truly fallen in love with the industry. Despite the early starts and tight deadlines, nothing beats being part of a coupleās big day, visiting beautiful venues, and the everyday buzz of a shop.
Thereās always a lot going on behind the scenesā¦enquiries, quotes, last-minute changesā¦and I understand first-hand how much gets carried alongside the creative work.
The Flower Desk brings together both sides of my experience, the creative world of floristry and my background in systems and organisation, offering friendly, reliable support behind the scenes, so you donāt have to do it all on your own.
Youāll usually find me with a cup of tea in hand (always), chatting away with the team or meeting new people, itās one of my favourite parts of the job. If you fancy a chat drop me a message!
